Dr Sugg, who is at Durham University, is the author of a book on the fascinating once taboo subject of corpse medicine, Mummies, Cannibals and Vampires; as well as Faces of the Vampire: from Holy Terror to Sexual Taboo and The Smoke of the Soul: The Animated Body in Early-Modern England.
